國防部：菲方應停止在南海拉幫結派 興風作浪

  MND: The Philippine Side Should Stop Ganging up With Others to Stir up Troubles in the South China Sea

  8月8日下午，國防部新聞局副局長、國防部新聞發言人蔣斌大校就近期涉軍問題發布消息。

  記者：據報道，菲軍方稱，菲印兩國海軍在黃巖島附近開展海上聯合演習，旨在提升兩軍互操作性，并在菲與中國的斗爭中展現對菲支持。請問發言人有何評論？

  Question: The Philippine armed forces reportedly said that the Philippine-Indian joint naval exercise conducted near Huangyan Dao was designed to enhance the interoperability of the two militaries and to demonstrate support for the Philippines in its skirmishes with China. What’s your comment?

  蔣斌：我們一貫反對以南海問題為借口挑動對抗，一貫主張有關國家軍事合作不應針對第三方，不應危害地區和平穩定。菲方四處逢迎，拉攏貼靠域外勢力虛張聲勢，妄圖攪亂地區局勢趁機漁利，完全背離地區國家求和平、謀發展、促穩定的共同愿望。我們要求菲方停止挑釁炒作，停止在南海拉幫結派、興風作浪，回到通過對話協商管控分歧的正確軌道上來。

  Jiang Bin: We oppose using the South China Sea issue as a pretext to provoke confrontation, and believe that military cooperation between relevant countries should not target any third party or undermine regional peace and stability. The Philippine side, however, actively courts external forces to make bluffs, in an attempt to destabilize the region for its own gain. Such actions completely contradict the shared aspirations of regional countries for peace, development and stability. We require the Philippine side to stop its provocations and propaganda, stop ganging up with others to stir up troubles in the South China Sea, and return to the right track of resolving differences through dialogue and consultation.
